Part 1
Part 2
The house was infiltrated. A thief came in the night and planted a terrible disease in the house. But the house knew about the disease. It accepted it. This disease spread throughout the entire place, leaving nothing untouched. It contaminated everything. The pathogen was deadly and anyone who came into the house was infected with the disease. They in turn could infect others. The disease never left the house. People wondered why such a gorgeous house could have such a terrible disease. The carpenters and builders and care-takers were so sad for the house because it had become infected. They thought that the house wanted their love and care, but the house had accepted the disease. In a few short days, the house was condemned.
Part 3
A man came around. He was new to the neighborhood and decided to walk around and check out the houses. He came to the condemned one and felt sorry for it. He talked to the carpenters and care-takers about the house. He found out that some leading scientists and researchers had figured out that if someone who had not been infected were to enter that house, and this person was in perfect health, they could absorb the disease and maybe save the house. Many people had tried to enter and take away the disease but no one could. This new man said that he was the one who could do it. The carpenters and care-takers said that it would be painful and that he would die but they loved the house so much that they urged him to do it. So the man entered the house. He absorbed all of the disease. He walked through the whole house looking for where the pathogen had laid havoc. Looking for where he could take the place of the house. After the man had taken all of the disease he walked out of the house, fell down, and died.
Part 4
The house had been made new. It was once again perfect. But the people hated seeing the dead man outside of the house so they moved him to another part of the town. After 3 days, the carpenters and builders and care-takers went to the dead man. He was still there. They started to perform CPR on the man. They gave him injections. They tried everything to bring him back. And they did. The man came back to life. He went back to the house. He walked around in it. He took care of it. He gave it back to the carpenters and care-takers. They were so excited that the house was with them again.
Part 5
The thief came again to try to poison the house. But the man was waiting for him. The man saw the thief and was filled with anger. He took the thief and slammed him against the wall. The thief begged for mercy, the man gave none. The man threw the theif to the ground and stepped on his head. The thief began to whimper. The man threw the thief out of the house. But the thief was persistent. He came back the next night, and again the man was there. But one night, the man was not there. The thief thought he was clear, but the house was locked. The house refused to let the thief in. The thief slithered away in defeat.
Part 6
People came from everywhere to see the house. They loved it. It was beautiful and perfect again. And right in the front of the house there was an imprint of a man's figure in the grass. No one dared to touch it but they were always reminded by the house about what the man had done for the house in order for it to be saved. They always were reminded to thank the man for his sacrifice for the house to be clean. The house was so grateful. It was always full of people wanting to know more about the man. The carpenters and builders and care-takers had left a note about what the man had done and also about how much they loved the house. More houses like it were built. Everyone saw that there was something different about the house. They wanted to be like it. But in order to, they had to ask the man to clean the disease from their homes. Soon, everyone had clean houses.
Part 7 (Epilogue)
You are a house. You are a building. You have been built. God is the carpenter and builder and care-taker. He loves you so much. Jesus Christ is the man. He took your disease (sin) and died for you. He wants you to ask Him to clean your house. He wants to make your house clean so that you can be with God. Satan is the thief that planted the disease, but we have all accepted this disease. We enjoy it more than God. But until Christ makes your house clean, you are stuck in that sin and suffering and you infect others with sin. But God made a way so you could be clean. Jesus died on the cross for your sins. He took your place so that you could be with God. He rose and is with God today. He loves you more than anyone else. God is calling you to be made clean. He wrote you a note (The Bible) about all that Jesus did for you. Will you be made clean? Will you let Jesus take your disease and take your place?
